Microsoft Outlook Express Versions 5 and 6

Step 1: Open Outlook Express

Double Click on the Outlook Express icon on your desktop, or select it from the "Programs" menu on the "Start" menu bar.

Step 2: Open E-Mail Accounts Viewer

From the "Tools" menu, select "Accounts".

Step 3:Add a new Mail Account

In the "Internet Accounts" window, click on the "Mail" tab.
Click on the "Add" Button then select "Mail" from the menu that appears on the side.

Step 4: Enter Your Name

Display Name - This is the name that will be displayed to the recipients of your messages.  Type the name you would like to be known as (i.e. John Smith) in this blank.  Click on "Next".

Step 5: E-Mail Address

E-mail Address - Type your email address in this line. (i.e. jgwynn@thePADG.com)

Step 6: E-Mail Server Names

Select POP3 from the drop box for 'Incoming Mail Server'
Incoming mail server  - This will be mail.domain.com (i.e. mail.thePADG.com).
Outgoing mail server  - This will be the same as the Incoming mail server (above).
Click "Next"

Step 7: Internet Mail Logon

Account Name - Your Account Name will be YourLoginID@Domain.com. For example, in the case of jgwynn@thePADG.com, "jgwynn" is the Login ID and "thePADG.com" is the domain name.
Password - If you would like Outlook to store your password so that you don't have to type it in each time you check your mail, click in the Checkbox labeled "Remember password" and type your password in the "Password" blank.

Click on "Next".
On the next screen, click on "Finish" This will save your settings and close the window.

Step 8: Additional Properties

On the "Internet Accounts" window, highlight your new email account and click on the "Properties" button.

On the new window that opens up, click on the "Properties" tab.
Check the box at the bottom of the screen that is labeled "My server requires authentication".

Click "OK".  This will save your settings and close the window.
Click on "Close" on the "Internet Accounts" window.

You are now ready to begin sending and receiving mail through your PADG E-mail account.
